River Bluff Trails Park
Hiking, Biking, Night Hiking, Night Riding
River Bluff Trails Park is St. Joseph’s ultimate outdoor playground—where the Missouri River meets miles of adventure. Tucked into the bluffs on the city’s north side, this trail system is a dream come true for mountain bikers, hikers, and anyone who loves a good view with their cardio. With over 15 miles of trails ranging from smooth, beginner-friendly loops to expert-only downhill runs with jumps, drops, and flow lines, there’s something here for every skill level. Even kids can get in on the action with dedicated skill zones designed just for them.
But it’s not just about the ride—it’s about the vibe. You’ll wind past historic WPA stone shelters, cruise through tree-lined ridges, and catch sweeping views of the river valley that’ll make you want to stop and soak it all in. The park connects to Huston Wyeth Park via a pedestrian bridge, making it easy to extend your adventure. Whether you're here for a peaceful hike, an adrenaline-pumping ride, or just to enjoy nature's beauty, River Bluff Trails Park is your go-to spot for outdoor fun.
River Bluff Trails Park is also open for exploring at night time for night hiking and night riding!
