Mozingo Lake
Paddling, Fishing, camping, swimming
Mozingo Lake Recreation Park, just east of Maryville, is a do-it-all kind of destination—and yes, that includes paddling. With over 1,000 acres of calm water and 26 miles of shoreline, it's a dream for kayakers, canoers, and SUP fans looking to spend the day out on glassy water under big Missouri skies. Anglers, you’re covered too—Mozingo is stocked with bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill, and walleye, and has three concrete boat ramps and an accessible floating dock to make getting out there easy for everyone.
Back on land, there’s a sandy public beach for swimming, shady spots for picnics, and all the amenities you’d want if you’re staying the night. Campers can choose from cozy lakeside cabins, full-hookup RV spots, or classic first-come-first-served tent sites (each with fire rings and picnic tables ready for action). Clean showers, restrooms, and even laundry facilities make roughing it a whole lot more comfortable. Whether you're rolling in for a weekend escape or plotting a longer adventure, Mozingo serves up the kind of outdoor experience that leaves you sun-tired, lake-happy, and already planning your next trip.
